Client: Office for Victims of Crime
Brief: At the National Indian Nations Conference, OVC launched a new seven-part video series and resource guide, A Circle of Healing for Native Children Endangered by Drugs. Created with tribal and federal partners, the series shares first-person stories and cultural practices from across the nation, highlighting how communities are healing from drug endangerment and offering inspiration and guidance for tribes supporting traumatized children.
Solution: The circle is a key design element, reflecting the title Circle of Healing and its deep symbolic meaning in Native American culture—unity, interconnectedness, and the cyclical nature of life as well as the the continuous cycle of growth, renewal, and healing. The spiral-bound resource guide, which can be used as a display at training sessions, houses the DVD and offers an alternative to the standard case. Each spread features video descriptions, stills, quotes, and additional resources from OVC and other agencies.
